I sit on a bench in the courtyard with Kim sitting on my lap.
"So Kim, what do you want to do today?" I ask her softly.
"Story mummy story." She replies loudly.
"Kim i'm not-...Okay then. Once upon a time, there was a beautiful little princess called Kimberly." I start, smiling as she squeals in aproval. "She lived in a big castle with her mother and her-...her father-..." I trail off when i mention her dad, seeing the sadness in her eyes. Knowing that she didn't understand, she didn't understand why her dad wasn't around anymore, but i did. I understood.
I look up hearing someone sit down next to me.

"and they loved each other very much. the princess was so happy, and they all lived together. but there was a bad witch and she tried to ruin the family, but the parents protced kimberly and made ure that she was safe and the lived happliy ever after" i say seeing she was having a bit of trouble finishing

"Kim is, well she's my boyfriends daughter, but he-...he's dead." I explain quietly.

i smile"hey you wanna know what, my little brother somehow found a way to get this," i say taking out a stuffed toy dog, "in my school robe and he doesn't want it back so do you think she'd enjoy it?"

I see Kim lean forward to try and grab the toy dog. "Do you know what, i think she's love it, thanks." I smile warmly.

i count them off in my head, "seven..i think." i laugh, "wait gonna be eight soon seeing as my mum just wrote to me and said that she was having another baby." i chuckle

i nod my head. "so that's so much fun when we have to try and get them for seprate doctor appointments. they can't go to a place where they have to be quite together." i chuckle

i smile and rub her back in a friendly way, "well you've already heard about the twins jesse and ben. zach is teh nerd. he's always reading for some reason. or eating. he's about ten, i'm pretty sure. then there's david he's twelve. he likes to listen to music and do nothing but. i don't see much of him. he sits in his room all day and listens to music. jonathen, he's 13. likes to hang around our dad so he does a lot of art stuff. he likes to paint. mostly our siblings. tehn sarah, she just turned 18. she dances a lot. and i haven't seen beth since i was 13. she got married and took off to france. but when she was home she was a lot like jonathen." i say, "i think that's all of them." i laugh
