I sat in the darkness of the astronomy tower alone.
I'd been there for a few hours, watching, counting.
I looked up at the small dots of bright light that lined the sky.
Far away, thousands of giant balls of flaming gas sat back watching me too.
I shivered slightly as the night air hit me and i heard footsteps on the stairs, but not wanting to look away from the sky.

"It's alright." I reply, tearing my eyes off the sky to look at the boy. I'd seen him around school before, i knew he was a seventh year Ravenclaw called Kevin. I had spoken to him politely in some lessons, but didn't know him very well at all.
