I sat on the window ledge, looking out at everything, with my back to the room behind me.

You can still hear it though. You can hear their voices in your head. You can hear Fay's. He thought you were dead. You'll never forget that Gid. It'll be with you for life.

"Who's side are you on?" I mutter to myself. "Mine or mine?"
