Okay, just some rules:
If someone breaks the rules, and I'm not aware I'd appreciate it if you could send me a message so I can send the person a warning.
- Grammar, I'm not too strict on because I'm not grammatically correct most of the time anyway. But, if people could make an effort so that what they're writing makes sense, it would be pretty good. Practically everyone does anyway (I can't think of anyone who doesn't) but I just thought I'd put this up anywho.
- Narrative perspective can be either first or third, but preferably not second.
- As of now, if you message me (or my brother Andy who RP's as Remus) for permission, with a valid reason, you may go into someone elses common room/dorm room/other passworded area. Although, you have to wait for permission to be given before you do.
- In duelling, and quidditch, someone can't make a post saying 'I hit you' as it is unfair to the person being hit...and without this rule it is effectivly possible for someone to in theory defeat anyone so long as they make the first post. (Thanks Aayla for this rule)
- In duelling, you can't dodge every spell that comes at you. Otherwise you're pretty much invincible.
- A person can't be killed unless they are online, otherwise it's unfair.
However, if you do something stupid like mess with Voldemort, then He will kill you and you will stay dead.
- You can't post as another person. The actual character is the only one who can post as him or herself. Unless more than one person share internet access so they don't have to sign in and out to post, and if you RP as more than one character and don't want to have to sign in and out.
- You cannot apparate inside Hogwarts. Let's keep to the cannon shall we? Well enough anyway.
- From now on, duelling will work in a simple way, you post an attack and the the other person posts the results and their own attacks. And remember, it's considered to be good manners to let yourself get hit and even to lose sometimes, otherwise no one would lose or get hit and it wouldn't be fair.
- Let's keep to the cannon, shall we? It's been brought to my attention that unforgivable curses are flying around. This isn't accurate because the character would get thrown in Azkaban. If I hear of, or catch anyone throwing these curses around, they might just get thrown into Azkaban. I can do that. Fear me.
- You can't post in a thread between two people unless you have permission from both. It's unfair otherwise if you want to be alone and such. Plus it means that when you're offline then you end up with five extra pages. (Thanks for the rule Kyra)
