"Well, it's about time, you decided to let us meet her, Remus." Mum says, standing up. "Hello Rin, it's nice to meet you, finally."

"Then you're definitely just fine with us." Mum smiles even more warmly.
I supress a sigh, knowing she'd made the exact same remark to any friend, or girlfriend, that came here. One of her little tests almost.
"Well, it was nice to meet you at last, Rin." Dad says, standing to leave.
"Where are you going?" I ask, already knowing the answer.
"Back to work. I have a report due Monday. It can't wait." He says.
"You're not to work too late." Mum warns him.
"We'll see." He says non-committedly, leaving the house.
"I'm very sorry, Rin." Mum says to her. "He can be extremely rude. He practically lives at work now-a-days."
