I peer over the top of my book at them and attempt a librarian's glare, holding a finger up to mouth to indicate silence. Then I duck behind the book again to hide my grin.
Our little Chance-Chance is growing up! I think, suppressing a giggle at the thought of what his face will look like when I repeat that phrase out loud. He talks and breaks rules! And... and I have no idea what we're studying.
I frown into the book, where there's a drawing of a motorcycle. Hey, that's actually cool....

I frown slightly, not really sure if she's being serious or not, and really not wanting to make a fool of myself again. "Ah... uh-huh..." I say, with a mix of skepticism and amusement, but hopefully not too much of either. "Peeves is afraid of your split personality?"
