Today we were studying the rise of Grindelwald... one of my favorite subjects.
Unfortunately, that meant that I had already run out of space in the margins of my book, and I'd filled up both sides of the single bit of parchment I had brought.
Damn.
Trying not to miss a single second of the lecture just in case he actually says something I don't already know, I reach out with my foot to nudge the closest person to me - not an easy feat, since this is a NEWT level class with very few students. But I really need a bit of parchment. I can risk falling out of my chair for that.

Rise of Grindelwald, not my favorite subject but it was better than studying the history of this school. I felt someone nudge my foot and looked back a bit cautiously,"Yes?"I asked quietly.

[Luke Chekoya]

I lean over my desk as far as possible to make sure she can hear me.
"Do you have a bit of parchment I can borrow?"

((Ah! No! Not you! Anyone but you!))
(( Yeah. Hi.))

I sighed a bit and gave him a slight nod.
"I think I do." I answered going through my bag and taking some parchment out. I handed it over and smiled slightly turning my attention back to the professor.

"Thank you," I say, bowing slightly as customary. I look back at my own piece of parchment, trying to figure out where my thoughts left off so I can continue... but then I look back at the girl. She's pretty cute.
"Hey... what's your name?" I whisper, hoping I'm not bothering her.

((Oh, that was just Ben, who lives on my shoulder. You can ignore him.))

I nodded a bit after his thank you. Hearing him whisper again I looked back at him,"Lacey. Yours?" I answered smiling.

[Luke Chekoya]

"Luke," I whisper back. "Sorry... am I bothering you?" I nod over to Binns to ask if she would rather be listening to him.

((That he does... and he eats only chocolate chips. It's insane how many chocolate chips I have to feed him. If I don't, he gets cranky and insults people.))

[Lacey Haines]

"Pleasure to meet you." I smiled and shook my head gently,"Not at all. Binns can get pretty boring sometimes." I chuckled

"Yeah, I guess," I nod, laughing slightly. "I'm planning to replace him someday, although it does seem kind of cruel... what's he going to do if he can't teach?"
I eye the old ghost somewhat sorrowfully. "But on the other hand, history is very important. And with him teaching it, most people don't know any."

((Erm... yes, I think he did. He says he's sorry.))

I giggled softly,"You really wanna replace him?"

{awww.....okay i accept the apology, }

"Yes, yes I do," I nod. "Why is that so funny?"

((Yeah, well, unfortunately I ran out of chocolate... I won't repeat what he just called you. Sorry.))

"No reason." I smiled shaking my head,"Can't I laugh for no reason?" I added

I laugh. "Sure, why not? I do it all the time. Then again..." I lean in close. "Most people think I'm crazy," I whisper, nodding.

((Eh, he's sorry again... just ignore him and don't take it personally.))

"Ohhhh....." I nodded once,"Why do they think that?"

"I have no idea..." I say, shaking my head and looking mystified. "Do I, Angelina?" I ask, peering down at my shoulder, then looking up with a grin.

I smiled slighty but as he looked at his shoulder and said a name, confusion spread out,"Who?" I questioned.

[Luke Chekoya]

"Angelina," I grin, looking up. "She lives in my shoulder. Well... you know, not really. I'm not actually crazy, but it's fun to pretend." I shrug.

[Lacey Haines]

"Ohh..." I nodded,"You pretend to be crazy? Why?"

[Luke Chekoya]

I shrug. "I'm not really sure, actually. What are your hobbies?"

[Lacey Haines]

"Um....Well I like going to the muggle world." I smiled biting my bottom lip,"And I like going down to the lake when no one's there, and just think, yours?"

[Luke Chekoya]

"Hm... good question." I think about it. "Well, probably flying... and reading anything to do with history. Those are my favorite hobbies."

[Lacey Haines]

"Oh, I love going to the muggle world and reading the books from their libraries." I smiled,"A lot of suspense."

[Luke Chekoya]

"Do wizarding books not have suspense?" I ask with a laugh. "Ooh... I used to read the Hardy Boys books, though. Ever heard of those?"

[Lacey Haines]

"Well of course they do, it's just....Muggles, they have no magic and they get stuck in akward situations."I laughed,"I've seen them before, they just never caught my interest."

[Luke Chekoya]

"Muggles don't always get caught in awkward situations," I say, a little offended. "So what have you read, then?"

[Lacey Haines]

"Not literally. I meant when the author puts their character in a position that someone wouldn't normally be in, therefore creating suspense. I just like the way muggle authors write it," I shrugged and thought for a minute. "I think my favorite would have to be The Adventures Of Huckleberry Finn, and my favorite short story will have to be The Cask Of Amontillado. But I've read alot."

I nod, still listening although I am now taking the parchment that she let me borrow and folding it into an airplane. Can't let it go to waste just because I stopped listening to Binns, now can I?
