Jay stood behind the bar, looking up at the clock. Shelby had said that today he kids were at a baby sitters, and Jessie was hanging out with some of Jay's family that had come in town.
He kept looking up at the clock, just waiting for his shift to end. Or for Shelby to walk in.
"Come on..." He mutters, still looking up at the clock.
"You're supposed to be working, not waiting to leave!" Tom scolds from the other side of the bar. Jay mumbles a sorry then looks down and starts to clean the table top, but looking down at his wrist watch that he had on.

I walk into the leaky cauldron. "So much for a sunny day..." I say looking down at all my clothing, soaked. I sigh and sit at the bar. "A firewhiskey please." I say to the bartender, not really paying attention.

He grunts, so whoever it was would know that he heard her. He was still starring down at his watch as he put a firewisky on the bar infront of her. "Supposed to meet my girlfriend in a few minutes..." He mutters to her, looking over at Toim, then back up at the other clock. "Five more minutes."

"You don't know the half of it." He chuckles. "Beautiful, funny. She knows how to make me laugh...She's sweet, and I love her kids to death. Pretty sure hse likes my daughter, so that's great and so much more" He grins. "Three minutes." He says. "She should be here any minute."

"One minute..." He mutters and stands there for a few moments. Just then the clock stikes 7 pm and he grins. Jay looks over at the door now, but out of teh corner of his eye he catches a glimsp of the girl he's been talking to.
Shelby.
He chuckles to himself and looks down at her, with a small smile.

He grins back at her. "Really didn't know, but I can tell." He chuckles looking at her wet clothes. "Must be cold." He says and takes his jacket that he had hanging on the wall behind him and reached over the bar and wraoed it around her.

"Thank you..." I say as I kiss him on the cheek. "So, I'm guessing your shift is over?" I ask standing up handing him the empty firewhiskey shot with a laugh.

"No problem." He grins, as she kisses his cheek. "How did you know?" Jay chuckles and puts the shot glass where he was supposed to, then wraped things up for the next bar tender and walked around teh bar to stand next to where she was sitting. He wraped his arms around her waist "So did I scare you away?"

He kisses her for a few moments running his hand up and down her back. He grins when it ends, looking down at her. "We should get you in some dry clothes, before you get sick." He says with a small smile, still hugging her close to him and his forehead on hers.

I sigh. "I should just give up shouldn't I?" I ask as we leave the leaky cauldron. The rain hadn't let up yet, and it was gusty. "Great, more rain." I mutter to myself mostly. "Where are we going to?" I ask, closing my eyes because of the raindrops.

Jay sighs looking out at the rain. He takes the jacket and pulls Shelby, close to him and pulls the jacket over her head. It was a thick jacket and she wouldn't get any wetter.
