Andrew skipped down the Hogsmeade high street, swinging his arms madly and grinning at students who were making their way in the opposite direction. A few pointed and laughed or grinned back, which just made his cheery disposition that bit cheerier.
Ethan followed at a slower pace, his arms folded across his chest, drawing his jacket tighter around him due to the cold. Wishing, not for the first time, that him and his twin didn't look so alike so he could pretend that he didn't know who he was.
But unfortunately...no dice.
Ethan was just considering ducking out of the street and into a bar that they'd just passed and leaving Andy to skip on his own and embarrass himself rather than both of them, when Andy turned round bellowing, "Hurry up!"
Andrew knew his twin too well, and he knew he'd be trying to bail on him by now and he didn't really want that, so he stopped skipping and waited for him to catch up.
"You're an idiot," Ethan told him, as he caught up and overtook him, pushing open the door to the post office.
"Thankoo," Andrew replied, laughing as he followed him inside and pulled the letter out of his jacket pocket.
They'd decided to write home to their parents and siblings...as they did once every now and again.
