"He saved my life three times I think," I mutter, "And two of them I shouted abuse at him for doing it."

"Helped me stop the drugs and drinking," I mumble,"He was there when my mum and dad died,"

"May he rest in peace."

"I think he might get bored resting in peace, he'd want to rest in some sort of loud yet amusing way."

"They're a lot alike,"
|
|

"Seemed Jack picked a total opposite for his best friend though. Can't say him and Scott are all that much alike."

I laugh weakly,"And you and Gid were?"

I laugh softly, "Fair. That's sort of different though, isn't it?" I say, then shake my head and answer my own question, "No, not really. I just see it as different."

"See, Jack and Scott are just like you and Gideon, and I'm pretty sure Scott's falling apart without Jack like you did without Gid."

"I've met a lot of Scott's friends. He doesn't like being alone in the house and I don't count as company," I shrug, "She was the one that told him. He doesn't know I was there."

"True," I nod, absently linking my fingers with hers again, "Not so well. He smashed up a few things in the attic, and threw the sink out of the bathroom window. It's still on the lawn. He yelled at me a bit, which seems to cheer him up, then apologised and broke into the firewhisky and then he was gone a couple of days later," I shrug, "No clue where he is now."

"Yeah, an awful lot," I nod, "Has trouble keeping friends, Scott. Guess it meant more than he let on to have someone stick with him."
