I'd read about the fabled Room of Requirement, and heard about it from the house elves too, as the 'come and go' room. It sounded like the perfect place to play, away from everyone else. I summon the room and go and sit cross-legged on the floor, placing my guitar on my lap, tuning it. I could play electric, but I'd always preferred the acoustic. It was already tuned, like it always was seeing as I hardly set it down apart from when I was sleeping, eating or in class. But here, I could play without anyone interrupting. I didn't like to play in front of other people. I strum the first few bars of a song my father had taught me when I'd first started playing that I'd long since forgotten the name of, and soon lose myself completely in the sound, as I always did.

"Oh sorry I didn't know that some one was in here." I say shyly.

I jump and drop my guitar, hastily catching it before it hit the ground. "I'm really sorry." I say quickly. "I'll go if you want. I didn't know someone would be coming to use the room. I'm new here, see, I don't know things yet. Sorry."

"Oh don't worry." I let out a nervous laugh. "I'm here to kick you out, but can I listen?"

"I...um...I don't really...play very well..." I stammer quickly. "But if you-...if you want to."

I smile nicely. "How about this you play me one song and I'll sing you one song?"

"Okay," I smile. "That's a deal. I'm Michael, by the way. Mika, to most."

"Hello I'm Rin, can't make it any shorter so people call me Rin." I laugh.

I laugh. "I can understand that I guess."

"yep there aren't a lot of nice names I get. Except for the Hufflepuff mom."

I laugh. "Hufflepuff mum? Wow, that's a big responsibility. Mum to all the Hufflepuffs. I'm Mika, or that weird one over there or Oi you or Watkins or...well I could go on but I think I'll spare you that."

"Not in public one or two people are fine, a group on the other hand, oh no I'm terrified."

"I know what you mean. I don't play for anyone besides myself normally. Not since my sister. I used to play to her all the time. And she'd sing along." I smile weakly.

"Really? If you like we can try to sing and play together."

"That would be nice." I smile. "You have to bear with me though, I'm not too good when I'm trying to play with someone else."

I smile. "Well, I've had a lot of practice. Teaching myself to play probably wasn't such a good idea though." My smile faltered slightly. "My dad started teaching me when I was 7. I picked up on it on my own when I was 9."

I sat there and started to play Moonlight Sonata. It was my favorite song to play on a piano with out singing.

"Moonlight sonata." I say immediately, under my breath, recognising the song from the many hours Kia and I had spent by the piano, with my guitar, just playing, singing, laughing. She could play this song for hours on end. And she did. "Oh the irony." I say quietly to myself.
