Too much to do... [Alice]

I was carrying a rather tall stack of books to a nearby table. All of my homework had really piled up on me and I had to get it all done by tomorrow. I sighed thinking about it all and as I walking I ran into someone and all my books fell to the floor.
"I am so sorry" I said slightly frantically after I ran into them.

"Hmm..." Alice said to herself as she traced a finger along the row of colorful books on the shelf infront of her. She was looking for one book in particular, one that she had read at least 10 times before. Of course, this book was none other than Alice's Adventures in Wonderland, of which the main character shared a name with her. She had first discovered this muggle book this previous summer, and simply wouldn't put it down until she was finished. When she asked her parents whether or not they had read this book before choosing her name they responded with a mere "It is only a coincidence."

When she arrived at Hogwarts a few months ago the first thing she did was check to see if they had it at the library, like they did at the public one in her neighborhood. Luckily they did, and she proceeded to repeatedly check it out to re-read and re-read. It was a wonder why she didn't already purchase it in Hogsmeade, though she planned to do so on the next trip.

Finally finding it, she quickly grabbed it as if someone else would if she didn't take it fast enough. She turned on her heal to head towards the main desk to let the librarian know she would be once again taking the book. Alice opened the book to the first page of text and began to read as she walked, but didn't make it too far as it seemed she head bumped into another student, both their books flying.

"Ooh, I am so sorry!" She spoke, truly caring. She continued to try and gather up as many of the other students books as she could before grabbing her own. Looking up, she saw, due to his robes, that the boy was a fellow Ravenclaw. She thought he looked familar, and figured she had walked passed him at least a couple times in the common room.

"Are you okay?" I asked her after picking up a few books myself, "I wasn't really paying attention to where I was going."

[Alice Munroe]

Alice smiled at him. "I'm fine, thank you." She spoke kindly. Usually she was the one asking if the other was alright, it was nice for it be the other way around. "Oh it's alright, I shoudn't have been walking and reading at the same time... never works out well." She said with a chuckle in responce to him saying he wasn't paying attention to where he was going.

Alice quickly walked over to the librarian and informed her she would be taking the book once again. With the information that she needed to bring it back in no later than two weeks, she walked back over to the boy. She didn't want him to think her rude for simply walking away!

Holding Lewis Carroll's book in her left hand, she held out her right to introduce herself. "I'm Alice, and you are?" She asked.

I set my books down on a table and shook her hand, "Nice to meet you," I say smiling, "I'm Riley"

"Nice to meet you too, Riley." Alice said with a smile as she shook his hand. She wondered why she hadn't seen him around as much before, they were in the same year, and he didn't seem much older than her.

"Homework I'm guessing?" She said, gesturing to the large pile of books he had placed on the table nearby. She usually had her homework finished the day or the day after it was assigned, but there were still those occasions where it just got to much to handle. She had to gone through that last year with OWLs, and Alice wasn't exactly looking forward to NEWTs next year.

"Yeah" I say nodding my head with a small chuckle, "I got really far behind this week... And kind of just kept pushing off the homework..." I looked at the stack of books again and then back to her, "So are you in Ravenclaw? I feel like I've seen you around before?" I asked her curiously.
