Ethan propped his head up on his hand, brow furrowed as he was deeply involved in his book. He'd just managed to really get into it...it was a good novel, but he didn't find much time to read. Andrew watched his brother from across the table, unable to believe he'd convinced him to come here with him, occasionally stifling a laugh behind his hand as he watched him frown. Then, satisfied that Ethan was in a world of his own, he leant slowly forward so his face was inches away from Ethan's bent head then made a loud snorting snoring noise. Ethan jumped, and shot a glare at his twin as his head slipped off his hand, "Twat. Read your comic book." Andrew laughed, leaning back in his chair and putting his feet up on the table, opening a random comic book he'd picked up. It was foreign and he didn't understand it so he quickly lost interest, ripping the corners on the pages and balling them up, storing them in the inside of his cheek like a hamster, "Ethan," He mumbled round the mouthful of paper. When he was ignored, he said it again louder, "Ethan..." "What is it?" "You're not looking...you're supposed to look..." Ethan sighed and glanced up at his brother, "What?" Andrew bulged his cheeks, "I'm a hamster...but I eat comic books to store in my cheeks...I'm a comic book hamster..." For once words completely eluded Ethan so he didn't respond, just looked back at his book.

I'm looking for a book that will distract me from the world when I hear a loud snort and jump slightly, looking round the corner at two guys, one of whom is acting like a five-year-old. I watch their discussion and have to bite my lip hard to keep from laughing at the words "comic book hamster." Finally I can’t hold it in any longer and find myself giggling against the books, hoping Madam Pince doesn’t hear me and kick me out again.

They both look round at the sound of giggling and then Andy grins triumphantly at Ethan, saying in a stage whisper, "See, someone thinks I'm funny." Ethan glanced at his twin, then back at his book, still not quite trusting himself to speak. Andy turned and waved at the girl, bulging his cheeks out again, "Hi!"

I giggle one last time and then cough to control myself as I realized they noticed me. "Hi..." I say, turning around and trying to contain another laugh. "Having fun? Or do the books need more salt?"

"Nah, they're pretty good," He grinned, holding out a comic to her, "Want to try?" Ethan tilted his head to the ceiling, mouthing a silent 'why?' to whatever was laughing at his misfortune.

"Mm... no, I'm good, thanks," I say, trying to hold in a smile. "Nibbled on a textbook earlier." I notice the other guy behind him looking exasperated and finally grin. "Your great aunt over there doesn't look like the book that he ate was very tasty though."

"Ah, I see," Andy grinned, then looked behind at Ethan, "Nah, don't mind him. Irritable bowels." Ethan sighed, lifting his book back up and starting to read again.

I giggle again, then stop and clear my throat. "That's sad," I say, then brighten and grin again. "But what are your names?"

"Very," Andy nodded solemnly, then grinned, "M'Ethan. That's Andy." Ethan rolled his eyes behind his book, "I know we look similar but honestly, I'd think you of all people could tell which is which of us by now." Andy grinned sheepishly, "You ruin my efforts to confuse people everytime, fuckhead. Okay, okay, I'm Andy, that's Ethan. And you?"

"Arden," I say, after biting my lip again to keep from smiling too much. "Arden Patricks. Nice to meet you."

"Oh yeah, sorry, forgot the surname," He bowed slightly, "The Leone twins at your service. Nice to meet you too Arden. Pretty name you got there." "Spare me," Ethan muttered under his breath, sinking lower in his chair. Andy rolled his eyes in his direction, "Cheer up already or I'll make you wear a poncho."

I frown slightly, ignoring the name compliment. "A poncho?" I ask, puzzled.

"A poncho...like those mexican things, and a sombrero too maybe. You can't be unhappy when you're wearing a poncho," Andy grins.

"Oh... right," I say, laughing slightly while still frowning a little in puzzlement. "So... what house or houses are you in?"

"Oh dear God..." Ethan mumbled, sinking down lower in his chair in preperation for the embarrassing display that was sure to come. Andy punched his fist in the air, "Lion Pride!"

Instinctively I glance over my shoulder for Pince, then laugh a little as I turn back and look at Ethan. "Not you though?" I ask, curious.

"No we were both lions, he's just somewhat more patriotic than me," Ethan shrugged slightly, "You'd think he might have stopped doing that after being graduated for 11 years, but unfortunately not." Andy rolled his eyes again, "You're just jealous because you don't give a shit about anything and you wish you could," He laughed.

"It's cos we're so good looking," Andy grins, "Everyone thinks we still go here." Ethan sighed through his nose, looking back at his book.

Andy tapped his chin, "That could also be it," He agreed laughing, "But prude-face acts all grown up and everything...how come people think he's younger too?" "Because I'm always with you?" Ethan suggested. "Hmmm...yes, this is making sense to me now..." Andy nodded, "We're not good looking after all, Thanny."

I grin again, then bite my lip to stop. "Yeah... he actually reminds me of a rather boring friend of mine, and he's sixteen." I shrug. "Um... what are you doing in the castle though, if you're not students?" I ask, paranoia kicking in so I take a step back without realizing it.

Both twins hands simultaneously crept to the bag that was on the seat of the chair in between both of them and then they realised they were both doing it and dropped their hands again. "We got a job is all," Andy shrugged. "We're the good guys," Ethan hastened to add.

I nod, eying them carefully, then realize how paranoid I'm being and smile slightly. "Better be," I mutter. "We don't need any more of the bad guys running round the school." I frown. "So what are you doing in here then?" I ask, knowing that Dumbledore and McGonagall in particular have been gone a lot lately, but not wanting to mention it just in case.

Andy opens his mouth to speak but Ethan cuts across him, "Sorry, that's confidential. But we're trying to work on some much needed damage control around here, that's all we can say."

I nod, very relieved even though I don't really know if I can trust them or not. "You have no idea what a relief that is," I say, shaking my head, until I think of Logan and Chris and the fact that I really don't want anything to happen to either of them, even though they're technically the bad guys. "Mostly," I mutter.

"No, we very much do," Andy nods, "Our little siblings go here, we've been freaking out about that for some time now." Ethan was the one that caught the last word and tilted his head to one side, "Mostly?"

I bite my lip again, hard this time, as I realize I said that out loud. "I... it's just..." I glance down. "I know that it's been dangerous here, and there are psychos who should be locked up..." I swallow hard, still staring at the floor. "But... it's not all black and white, that's all. And I'm sure that you already know that."

Andy chanced a cautionary look back at his brother, who's face was now set in a completely blank way, and twisted his hands together anxiously, "Yeah, we know it's not all black and white."

I nod, arms crossed and fingers tapping restlessly on the oppositte elbows. "'Course you do, you're not idiots," I mutter.
