Briar sat in the library. Her day had gone fairly well with her being in her old mood, but that was gone now. A book, called Twilight was in her hands and she turned pages of it every once in a while.
She'd looked different now. Her eyes were a little duller and she had cut and dyed her hair. It was black, white, and sometimes you could see some reddish-orange in it. A sigh escaped her light pink lips and she relaxed in the comfy chair.

"You know, you weren't ever one for reading Briar..." I say from behind her, sitting on top of a bookcase.

Briar froze at the voice, not believing her own ears. The lids closed her eyes and she silently turned around before opening them. A gasp escaped her lips but nothing else. Shock had come over her.

"Nice to see you to." I say with a slight, but cold laugh. My eyes weren't the crystal blue that everyone knew anymore, my voice, my laugh, even my smile somehow faded with my physical presence.

"No," Briar whispered, closing her eyes and rubbing her temples. "This isn't happening, it's a dream," came out in small whispers. She knew it wasn't a dream though, because if it was..he wouldn't be like this. "Fuck," A mutter came out as she wiped a stray tear. "Yo-you're not real. You're not here."

"You're somewhat right...." I say coming down off the shelf standing behind her, wanting to wipe any more tears that would fall off her cheek.

"Go away," Briar whispered, turning back around to her previous state before he came. "You're not here. You're not talking. You're d-dead."

"Oh really? Then I couldn't do this..." I say walking it front of her and waving at her frequently. Something wasn't right about her. This wasn't the girl I fell in love with anymore...

A ghost of a smile appeared on her face but went as quickly as it came, "This can't be happening," Briar mumbled. "This doesn't help AT ALL."

"What's wrong?" I ask her looking down at her left ring finger, noticing that there was no ring. I turn around quickly and start levitating to a random bookshelf.

Briar followed his gaze then sighed, "Logan.." She pulled out a chain that had both rings he'd given.

I look over my shoulder seeing the rings, but still face the shelf. "Have you found the crest yet?" I ask her with no emotion.

Briar looked down at her pale hands, that were shaking and nodded, "Yes." She pulled her knees up to her chest and rested her forehead on them. Her hair made a kind of cave arounf her face, hiding it. She was hiding her face for a reason. More and more tears were coming down her face with the colder and more emotionless he seemed.

I heard a soft whimper behind me. I turn around and see her sitting on the chair. "Briar, angel I'm sorry..." I say rushing over, almost giving her a hug. I stop and slam a fist through the table realising I couldn't touch her.

Briar looked up just in time to see his 'fist' go through the table. "Logan.." She whispered.

I look at her blue eyes. "Briar, your eyes..." I say just staring, wondering how much pain I've caused her. I shake my head slightly. "What Briar?" I ask her softly.

I sigh deeply. "Briar, I..." I couldn't tell her I had a short time here. I couldn't stay long like almost headless Nick. "...so, umm. Has Shelby told you the secret of the staff?" I ask her.

"No," She mumbled. "Left me with it right after we'd found it. AND YOU MORON!" Briar looked up, wanting to hit his arm. "You left me with Jenny!"

I had to slightly laugh at her. "Briar. You were going to be her adopted mother sooner or later..." I say with a smile. "After all, I wanted four more kids..." I say beaming.

"Yeah, but still," She whined. "It isn't the same. And four more?"

"Briar..." I say with a sigh. "I wanted you to have a piece of me. To remind you of me...and what's wrong with four?" I ask smiling.

Briar smiled, a true smile. "Nothing at all," She laughed. "And I'll never forget you Logan, for God's sakes you were the first one to ever show me what true love meant."

I smile. "You know what isn't fair? I never got to see you naked, my own fiance..." I say giving her a fake puppy dog pout.
