"Yes!" Piper laughed softly. "I win. Oh yeah." She grinned. "Who cares that it made no sense? Most things in life don't." She smiled
"It seems that we are." She grinned up at him, joking to. "Plus the fact that you and I totally rock, so it was like we were meant for each other."

Gabriel laughed quietly. "That's very true." He admitted. Nothing seemed to make sense in his life. So he expected that in most people's lives, most things didn't make sense.
You don't make sense most of the time.
"I think it might be fate." He chuckled. "However, they also say opposites attract. So maybe we're just too damn similar to be together." He joked.

"Be much easier if some things made sense." Piper said with a small smile. Everything would be. If she knew why he mum had just decided to come back, all of the sudden things would be much easier.
Piper chuckled softly and looked up at him. "Never know until we try." She said with a slightly shrug still looking at him. Piper looked at him, waiting for him to answer then looked down with a small smile.

"It would be." Gabriel agreed. "But, that's life i guess. Nothing could be more complicated than life." He smiled. "There are so many questions that want answered. Like, why do we exist? But there's no one to answer them." He shrugged.
You over think things sometimes.
Gabriel chuckled at her comment. "That is very true." He grinned at her. "But i suggest we get to know each other first." He continued. "Because you never know what you're putting yourself into." He finished with another lop-sided grin.

"Wow..." Piper chuckled softly. "That's...That's deep." She smiled. Piper never really thought most things like that through. Some things, but not a lot. "You're right though."
"That's fair." Piper chuckled. "I have any chance?" She asked with a small smile. Piper knew she was pushing her luck with that question. But why not ask him? Piper laughed at his last comment. She opened her mouth to say something, but closed it back. "Nah..."
"You like Quidditch?" She asked him.

"Deep? Nah, i just have too much time on my hands to think of all this bullshit." Gabriel laughed. It was true. When he wasn't working he was usually stuck at his apartment on his own. The only left for him to talk to was inside his own head.
You love me really.
"Of course you do." He grinned in reply. "Any girl with a lively personality has a chance with me. Usually they're the ones that don't want to take that chance." He chuckled then smiled warmly at her.
Run in the opposite direction more like.
"Yeah, i love it. My mum taught me how to fly when i was nine, and i've loved it ever since.." He replied with a wide smile. "I used to be on the team when i went here. I was an excellent beater." He grinned.

Piper laughed softly. "Deep thinking. Much to thoughtful for my mind." She chuckled. "I'd rather just take some thngs, know that they're there and leave it be."
Piper chuckled and nodded. "Well as I said before I'm not going to be running." She chuckled, "You might even get annoyed with me." She said only joking.
"You were on the team to?" Piper grinned. "I was to. I was chaser though. My dad tought me how to fly."

"Sounds much easier. My brain won't let that happen. I think it's a side-effect of being a Ravenclaw." Gabriel chuckled. "I swear my mind never rests. It's always there telling me what to do."
You'd be lost without me.
"I doubt that very much. I don't think i could ever find you annoying." He smiled at her. He thought it would probably be the other way round. He could be a bit much sometimes.
Take things too far.
"That's weird. We probably played against each other and we never knew. If i ever hit you with a bludger i am terribly sorry." He replied with a lop-sided grin.

"That's it." Piper laughs. "Being a Ravenclaw just does that to your mind." She smiles "My mind tells me what to do all the time." She chuckled.
"Sure that's what you say now." She chuckled.
Piper laughed. "It's quite alright. The only time I ever got hit was when we payed Slythrin and this one time I played Gryffindor." She chuckled. "Got hit in the head once." She says memories comeing through her mind. "I was captian though."

Gabriel chuckled. "Maybe it's just your concience." He contributed. "Mine always tells me off when i'm about to do something stupid. It's like having my mum permanently in my head." He joked.
Mummy's boy.
Gabriel laughed. "That's alright then. I don't have to feel guilty about injuring you in the past." He smiled. "Ooooh Captain. Very good. I never made captain, i think they thought i was a bit irresponsible." He grinned.

"Maybe it is." Piper chuckled. "Oohh, having your mum in your head? Must be hard." She said in a jokeing way.
Piper laughed. "You probably were." She grinned teaseing him, and poked him in the arm to play around.

"It is hard! My mother can be very scary sometimes. Even if she's only about five foot tall." Gabriel laughed, remembering all the times his mum told him off for things, and she made him crouch so she would have to crane her neck to look at him.
Well you are over a foot taller than her.
Gabriel laughed again. "Yeah, i think i was. Not as bad as some of the other guys on the team though. They had extremely rude minds. Did you know they purposely fly under some of the girls so they could try and look up their skirts?" He chuckled, remembering.

Piper laughed. "And you're what? Six feet?" She grinned. "Never met my mum, so I don't really know anything else to say." She admitted. "I'm supposed to be home now, my dad wrote me and said she had come back...But I don't think I want to met her."
Up and left you 21 years ago. Why does she want to come back now?
Piper laughed, "No I didn't know that." She chuckled and put one hand over her face, rembering how some guys flew under her, but she had never thought anything of it.

"Six foot two." Gabriel grinned proudly. It was only recently that he had stopped growing, but he was glad of his height. He seemed to tower over his friends and could mock them playfully. It was also an advantage he had on most of his enemies.
You can push them over easier.
"Why not?" He asked curiously. It was sad that Piper had grown up without a mother. But he could understand why she didn't really want to meet her now.
Could change everything.
"Sorry that you didn't know sooner. I tried to warn as many girls as i could, but most of them thought i was joking." He chuckled slightly remembering their shocked faces.

"Five foot five." Piper chuckled softly. Piper had wished she was at least an inch taller, but you can't have everything.
"Because after twenty-one years, why does she want to come back now? Why now?" She said not really asking him. Piper just couldn't understand it. And her father had always said Piper was like her mother.
I would never do something like that
Piper chuckled. "It's okay." She said, "I can see why they thought you were joking."

"Aw so little." Gabriel teased, only joking. He knew she only appeared small because he was a lanky bastard who towered over almost anyone.
Beanpole!
"Maybe she wants to get to know you. She might be sorry for leaving you." He replied even though the question wasn't really directed at him. "Maybe you should give her a chance. She might have a reason for leaving you." He shrugged slightly.
Could you forgive someone who left you?
Gabriel didn't really know what he would do in the same situation. On one hand he would have been abandoned by someone for so many years, and suddenly he was wanted again. But on the other hand, he would be curious to why they wanted to see him again.

"I can't help it that you're a lamppost." Piper teased back with a wide grin.
Piper looked down for a moment, thinking about what he was saying. He was right. Piper knew that. But that still didn't mean Piper was going to go and see her mother. Piper just couldn't forgive something like that so quickly. She wanted to, but her heart just wouldn't let her. Besides, Piper liked growing up with just her and her dad. That was what made her what she is now.
"What are your parents like?" She asked looking back up at him, trying to lighten things up. She didn't want to really rant about her mother.

"My parents." Gabriel thought of the question, not really knowing how to explain them. "They're complete opposites to each other. My dad's a muggle and my mum's a witch. My dad's really smart and mature. I think that's where i got the brain power to be placed in Ravenclaw." He chuckled then continued. "My mum's really quite mental. Very bubbly and talkative. And also very caring. She loves her family to bits. She's the one that sent me here to look after my cousin. She cried for hours when my aunt died." He sighed and looked down at his hands. He had hated seeing his mum in pain. "They're both fantastic though. My dad taught me how to play the muggle game football as soon as i was able to walk, and as i've said, my mum taught me to fly."
You're dad was terrified you were going to fall to your death.
"They've always supported me with everything, and i love them both so much for it. I wouldn't be anywhere close to who i am today if it wasn't for them bringing me up so well. They taught me manners as well as played with me when i was younger. They helped teach me everything i needed to know in life." He stopped, realising he was rambling.

Piper sat there and listened to him with a small smile. "They sound great." She said her smile bigger. "It was just me and my dad. He's pretty cool. Was in over his head at times." She chuckled. "Think the only muggle game I know is football."

Gabriel smiled back. "They are, they're the best parents i could ever have asked for." He replied truthfully, he didn't know what he'd do without them. "I can understand why he was over his head sometimes. I think anyone would be if they had to look after you." He teased playfully. "He must have been a very good father though, you turned out great." He grinned.
"You'd both be different if you had different parents.
"I know quite few of them, but that's only because of my dad. He's very sports orientated. He's quite proper, but when he watches or plays sports he looks really free and content." Gabriel smiled again at the memories.

"Shush you." Piper laughed and poked him. "Thank you though." She added with a grin, mirroring his. Her dad was great. She did look almost exatly like him. The almost is because of the two different genders.
"What's you're favorite sport?" She asked him. Piper didn't really like to be a girly girl when she was younger. Her father had even told her of all the times she had played in the mud after a big rain storm, had gotten into fights when she went to a muggle school before she came here. Piper was even pretty sure he kept all of the letters he had gotten from when she had gotten into fights here. "I'm a bit of a tom boy." she chuckled softly, through her thoughts.

"No problem." He replied with a warm smile. "Quidditch." He answered automatically. He loved the game, it was much more interesting than muggle sports. So many things would be happening at once on the pitch that it was impossible to get bored. He had once watched a match that had lasted three days. He barely slept, nor did the rest of the crowd. The game was much too exciting.
Remember when that player got knocked through the goal hoops.
Gabriel grinned. "That's great! Means you're much more adventurous and fun." He replied. "Girly girls just moan about messing up their hair or chipping a nail, very tiresome." He added.

"Didn't take any time to answer to that." She chuckled and nodded. "You ever been to a World Cup?" She asked. Piper had been to one, but one one. It was the last one. The match lasted at least seventeen hours. She had heard of longer, but that was the longest she had been to.
Piper chuckled. "Hell yeah am I way more fun." She said with a small smirk tugging at her lips. She tried to hide it slightly.

"Yeah, my mum used to take me to as many as she could. I think she enjoyed them even more that i did." Gabriel replied with a slight chuckle. His mother had always be extremely enthusiastic about quidditch, and she certainly made herself heard across the stands whenever she went to a match, dispite her small height. "Yeah, you're definately more fun than a girly girl." He agreed with a grin.

"My dad got a bit...Excited." Piper chuckled softly remebering all the times her father had yelled, and hollared, and screamed, and cheered and...everything. Sometimes people even asked her father to sit and shut it or leave. Piper had a small smile on her face at the memories. "Thank you thank you." She grinned at him. "Pretty fun yourself."

Gabriel chuckled loudly, imagining it. "He seems a lot like my mum then. She may be small, but she make a hell of a lot of noise." He grinned, it was always an amusing sight to see his mum at a quidditch match.
Hilarious.
"Thanks, i do try." He smiled and pretended to tip his hat to her, even though he wasn't wearing one. Which probably resulted in him just looking like a fool.

"My dad is really tall...and big." She chuckled. Her father was at least 6' 6'' and had brood shoulders. Piper always remebered how he would have the same long hair, the same stuble. He always seemed to have a slight roughness about him.
Piper laughed softly as he 'tiped his hat' to her. "See you're very modest." She grinned with a playful wink.

Gabriel smiled. "Taller than me then?" He guessed. "Gosh he must be tall. At least you're used to tall people. That way i don't have to stoop whenever i'm around you." He chuckled. "Bella makes me do that sometimes, says she doesn't like feeling small."
Yeah but you're a push-over anyway.
"Oh yes, of course i am." He grinned and winked back at her playfully.

"He's six foot six if that helps." She chuckled. "But yes, I'm used to tall people." She grinned at him. "You would think that I would have inheriated some of his height, but unfortunately I'm stuck with five foot four." She added. "She makes you do that? Unless I'm imtimitaed by you're height, then I might." She said only joking.
"Guess you just keep getting better." She grinned at him. "I'm still way more awesome." She added jokingly.

"Wow he would even tower over me." Gabriel grinned. He enjoyed meeting people who were even taller than he was. Especially when there were smaller people present. "Hey 5'4 isn't bad." He smiled. "Yeah she does, and she's taller than you. I guess she doesn't like feeling small." He laughed.
He laughed again at her next comment. "Well it looks like i'm catching up though doesn't it." He grinned.
