"Well.... I... I donm't know," I shrug uncertainly. "I mean... in general, yes, I probably would say that. But I don't know... I mean, you know, maybe you're an exception to conventional wisdom."

"Okay..." I say nodding my head slightly, "Thanks.. I think.." I add taking in a deep breath and letting it out, "So.. wanna see it?"

I glance down at the box still in my hands and laugh slightly. "Eh... no. I'm afraid I'll lose it or jinx it or something... you should have it back," I say, holding it out to him.

I laughed lightly and took it back from her, "I'm sure you wouldn't" I say shaking my head slightly. "What's the worst that could happen?"

I shrug. "Do you really want me to answer that? I'm extremely pessimistic as well as superstitious. You don't want to hear my thoughts on the worst thing that could happen."

I chuckled slightly, "You got me curious.."

I laugh. "Noooo... don't make me. You really don't want to know. Hell, I don't want to know. I just know I can spin very dire scenarios from absolutely nowhere. And you don't want to hear them." I shake my head slowly.

I laughed and shook my head slightly, "Okay.. whatever you say" I say with a shrug, putting the box back into my pocket, with a small smile.

"Thank you," I nod. "It's for your own good, you know."

"I really would like to hear your worst senario though... maybe it'd help me avoid it" I say with a small laugh, "Most girls I know probably would've grabbed the box from me to look at it" I add chuckling lightly looking over to her. "And you're welcome"
Post by Arden Patricks on Dec 3, 2007 22:53:24 GMT
"Well, most girls are quite weird," I say, nodding. "And... seriously, it really is a worst case scenario. Death and destruction and multi-generational curses and such."

I laughed, "How'd you get that senario out of looking at a ring exactly?" I asked her sounding amused.

I shrug, grinning slightly. "Superstition and pessimism, like I said. I told you it was bad."

Ilaughed slightly, "I don't understand the way you think" I say chuckling, "It's just a ring." I add taking it out of my pocket and opening the box. "Looks pretty harmless to me"
Post by Arden Patricks on Dec 3, 2007 23:05:05 GMT
"That's superstition," I say, rolling my eyes slightly but laughing. "And I don't understand the way I think, either, if it's any consolation."

"What's superstition?" I asked chuckling looking up from the ring, "What's hard to understand about how i think?"

"Nothing, I think," I say, then shake my head. "Never mind."

"I'm confused" I say shaking my head slightly laughing, "Figured something would be... I'm werid"

"Um... I think I'm confused too," I say, frowning slightly and putting a hand to my forehead. "Shall we just scrap the conversation, pretend that it made sense to our psyches or whatever, and start a new topic?"
Post by Riley Pearson on Dec 4, 2007 21:59:29 GMT
I laughed, "Yeah, let's do that" I say grinning lightly and putting the ring back into my pocket since I still had it open in front of me.

"Okay," I nod, then laugh. "Um... so what should the topic be?"

Post by Riley Pearson on Dec 4, 2007 22:06:53 GMT
"Uh... I don't know..." I say thinking about it, "Is there anything we haven't talked about?"
Post by Arden Patricks on Dec 4, 2007 22:11:48 GMT
"Very probably," I nod. "I mean, when you think about it, we could probably have a looooong conversation on fruit salad, or... or nuclear warfare in the muggle world. And we haven't done either of those yet."
Post by Riley Pearson on Dec 4, 2007 22:14:51 GMT
I laughed, "I vote for fruit salad... that's not depressing" I say grinning lightly.

I laugh. "True... but just because we possibly can does not mean that we should."

I laughed and nodded, "Yeah... mighe be kind of weird... and it'd just make me hungry"

"Right," I nod. "No discussions of fruit salad then. Um... and no bloody animals, either. What does that leave?"
Post by Riley Pearson on Dec 4, 2007 22:36:01 GMT
I laughed and then cringed slightly when she said bloody animals, "Uh... Trees...?"

I laugh slightly. "All right... what can we say about trees?"
