Looking for Ian

I sigh to myself.
It was about time I found him, I guess.
Only fair after all.
"Excuse me," I say to a random person that walks past, "I don't suppose you'd know where I might find Ian Hunt?"

[Ian Hunt]

I watched a girl walk into the entrance hall from where I'm sitting, leaning against the wall by the doors.
She kept her face pretty well hidden and I had no idea who she was or what she was doing here, but she was obviously new around here.
She grabs someone and then asks...about me.
I frown, then stand up and make my way over to her, "Excuse me?" I say from behind her. "You're looking for me?"

I freeze, a stone plummeting through my heart and then lodging itself in my throat.
I'd almost forgotten his voice.
Almost.
"Ian..." I say softly, then unable to stop myself, I turn round and fling my arms round his neck, hugging him tightly, "I missed you, I missed you, I missed you so much, Ian."

I freeze then say very quietly, "Erin?"
There's a pause and then I hug her very tightly back, listening to her whispering over and over again, 'I missed you'.
"I missed you too." I manage to say, "I-...you-...they-...I saw you die, Erin. Erin? I saw you die. I-...I'm sorry."

[Erin Row]

I start to cry into his chest, still clinging to him desperately, never wanting to let go. "I'm sorry, Ian. So sorry. I-...I never meant for it to go that far. I didn't know that was in the plan, I swear, Ian I'm so sorry. And they killed our baby..." I sob harder into his shoulder.

[Ian Hunt]

"Erin...Erin..." I say bemusedly, "Slow down...slow down...what plan? What baby? Erin?"

[Erin Row]

I cry harder, still clinging to him, shaking my head, unable to speak.

[Ian Hunt]

"Okay, shush...come on..." I say quietly, still holding her gently, "Let's get out of here, and away from people, then you tell me all about it, okay?"

[Erin Row]

I nod slowly, not wanting to tell him anything but knowing I owed him an explanation.
I start to walk towards the doors and out into the grounds, when a familiar stab of pain spreads through me, I sway slightly and clutch on to him.

[Ian Hunt]

I stop walking as she clutches for me, tilting my head to look at her concernedly, ready to catch her if she fell. "Erin? Erin? What is it?"

[Erin Row]

"Nothing," I say, trying to straighten up and look at him but not quite managing, "Just after-effects-...I-..." There's a sudden burst of pain and everything goes black.

[Ian Hunt]

"After-effects?" I repeat questioningly, then quickly grabbing her as she blacks out.
"Erin?" I say softly, shaking her slightly, "Erin?"
Nothing.
I pick her up quickly then dither uncertainly between going to the hospital wing or apparating to St Mungo's.
Madeline was at St Mungo's.
If there was one person I trusted around here, it was her.
I run quickly out of the grounds and apparate away with her.
