"Do not think you've escaped, I will be questioning you about this later." I warn her. "I don't suppose you got my letter, did you?" I ask.

[Isabella Knox]

I nod, taking the letter out of my robe pocket, where i'd been carrying it ever since Fabian gave it to me.

[Gideon Prewett]

"Good old Fay." I say, resisting the urge to grit my teeth. No good bastard, of course he would have given it to her.
That was the whole point though.
But only if I was dead, but I wasn't dead.
Shut up, Gid, you're confusing yourself.

"It made me cry." I say quietly, but honestly. When i read that letter, i'd believe Gid was dead and that he'd never of known that i'd felt the same way to him. But now....now everything was confusing.

[Gideon Prewett]

"Even the bit about being hit with a handbag and yelled at that I was a perv?" I smile awkwardly. "'Cos that did actually happen."

[Isabella Knox]

I laugh quietly, staring at my feet, trying to sort things out in my mind. Here was Gideon, my past. Then there was Ricky, my present. Who would be the future, would there be a future?.
"Did you mean it?" I ask, referring to the letter.

[Gideon Prewett]

"Whoa-hoah-..." I mumble, scratching the back of my head awkwardly, "That's a big-...kind of-...thing-...I-..." I sigh, then admit honestly, "Yes, every word."

[Isabella Knox]

I nod again silently. Resisting the urge to wrap my arms around him and kiss him by looking down at my feet. I was in a bit of a mess. It was the Sirius and Cameron situation all over again, but a lot worse.

[Gideon Prewett]

I start laughing, suddenly. "You've got a boyfriend, haven't you?"

[Isabella Knox]

I look up at him and nod "His name's Ricky." I say.

[Gideon Prewett]

"Thought so. Of course. My bad." I say, nodding.

[Isabella Knox]

"I'm sorry-...It's just-...I thought you were dead." I say sadly, shaking my head.

[Gideon Prewett]

"No, it's fine. I should have known."

[Isabella Knox]

"There was no way you could have known." I say.

[Gideon Prewett]

"Well, I should have. I mean, pretty girl like you, gonna get snapped up immediately, aren't you? I don't see why you'd wait around for someone like me, especially if you thought I was dead. Maybe we should just forget this, huh?"

[Isabella Knox]

"Forget this? You don't think that all the time i thought you were dead i haven't been trying to forget?" I say truthfully

[Gideon Prewett]

"Well, I did yes." I say, biting the inside of my cheek, then adding quietly, "I just kind of-...almost hoped, maybe you wouldn't."

[Isabella Knox]

"I could never forget 'this'." I mumble quietly.

[Gideon Prewett]

"I'm sorry."

[Isabella Knox]

"What for?" I ask

[Gideon Prewett]

"I don't know. Just seemed appropriate."

[Isabella Knox]

"I bet it's weird." I say suddenly after a few moments of silence.

[Gideon Prewett]

"What?"

[Isabella Knox]

"Coming back, how everythings changed."

[Gideon Prewett]

"You have no idea how weird it is." I say, sitting down heavily.

[Isabella Knox]

"I can try to understand." I say, sitting down next to him lightly.

[Gideon Prewett]

"I don't think my parents are even interested, they gave me up for dead a long time ago. Most of my friends are either dead with the Order, or grown up with families and lives. And you lot, all you lot. My baby sister's getting married and she's pregnant. I have a nephew who calls me gee-gee. I try to find Remus and it turns out his dad's bloody disowned him. James is engaged to Lily, of all people. Peter's-...Peter's a cheater. And well I haven't heard that much about Sirius. And you, look at you, Isa. You're all grown up. I missed out." I sigh.

[Isabella Knox]

I take his face in my hands and sigh. "It's not too late to get clued back in." I say softly.

[Gideon Prewett]

"Yeah, it is. Not how I was before."

[Isabella Knox]

"So you missed out on a bit." I say. "That doesn't mean to can't pick up from where you left off."
