I look over at her and see a smile plastered on her face. I'd known her long enough to know that was a forced smile.
"We're still okay right?" I asked her, still feeling horrible about the whole situation.

I looked over to her, thoughts of the war coming back to mind. Thinking about Riyann and what could happen.
"Uh..." I started, looking back down at my hands, "Yeah..." I say softly, not wanting to think about ever losing Riyann, "I can try to promise it.."
