I stumble through the forest, my chest is still aching dully but it's manageable.
I knew I was lucky to be alive, I knew I easily could have died, but I didn't feel lucky at all.
All I could think was my best friend just tried to kill me.
All I could see were Peter's eyes, turning black, the flash of the knife.
All I could hear was the steady drip of the blood, ringing loudly in my ears even though I'd long since stopped bleeding due to my short time in the hospital wing.
I was lucky to be alive, but I didn't feel it at all.

I came up to Remus in wolf form. I smelled the blood even thoe the wond was healing. I nudged him as if asking 'are you ok'

"I don't know what's going on." I say, my chest aching so I sat down. "Sometimes, I don't even want to. And as for something bad happening, something bad probably will happen. There's normally something bad waiting just round the corner anyway."
