I walked down to the lake, grinning. Class was over and I was free to didder around until curfew. With a sigh, I flopped down on my back on the grass next to the water's edge.

"Can we swim momma? Zoe askes me as I walk down to the lake. I stopped by Briar's house to pick up Zoe and Ashlyn after my lunch.
"I don't think so...it's frozen I believe." I say laughing a bit. They both sigh as I sit down next to the edge as well. "Taking a break?" I ask Sydney.

I laugh. "Yup. Class just finished." Sitting up, I smile at the two little ones. "And who do we have here?"

I start to tell Sydney, but they cut me off. "I'm Zoe Morgan Henderson." Ashlyn sits down next to her with a smile. "And I'm Ashlyn Malaika Henderson..." she says softly.
I smile at them as the introduce themselves. "This is a fourth of my kids." I say laughing a bit.

I laugh. "Well, hello girls." I look over at Shelby. "So 8, huh? I caught that two of them weren't yours biologically. The others are all yours though?"

"Yes, the other six are, but Jenny has a different dad then the other five." I say to her. "There's Jennifer, Zoe, Ashlyn, Isaiah, Hope, and Holly. The last two are twins. My friend left me her twin boys Justin and Dustin a few years ago." I say softly.

I laugh. "Well, my friend Briar watches them for me. That's where the others are right now, but these two wanted to come with me." I say with a smile.
"And lately, I met a guy who loves them, and he has a daughter as well, so now it's like having nine. I always get teased just to make it a perfect ten..." I say with a laugh.

I laugh. "Well, good for you." Reaching into my pocket, I pull out a couple pieces of licorice, taking a bite out of one of them. "You girls want some?" I look up at Shelby. "You don't mind, do you?"

I shake my head. "No, not at all. Just no telling your brothers and sisters now." I say to them. Zoe and Ashlyn both smile and take one a piece. "Thank you..." "Yes, thank you very much ummm..." Ashlyn stumbles on her name.

I look off at the lake. "But after a while of working for the ministry, and then Flourish and Blotts, now currently I'm unemployed. That's why I need to teach here..."
